Here is a picture. Sorry its not such a great pic. However, its a pic of my two daughters from about 1983. That I can ascertain by thire size and what they are wearing. I cannot remember where or why this was taken and its bugging me. Iam wondering if it is an air shor or museum (The latter seema abit unlikely.) I do not remember ever flying with them in a Viscount and I do not recognise the steps or the logo on the steps. Anybody any ideas. A challenge for our experts who seldom fail to get the result:- Girls next to BMA Viscount by Ron Turner, on Flickr

Liverpool Airport it most certainly is. Blue and yellow, the colours for apron vehicles under the control of Merseyside Country Council and more conclusively the logo is certainly that of the M.C.C. BMA scheme and aircraft type right for around 1983 too. Museum idea is a total red herring, Viscount 800s with BMA were very much alive and flying in 1983. I am still between image hosts at the moment so cannot post the MCC logo as proof. The shield has two roses? (representing Lancashire and Cheshire) with three wavy lines diagonally top left to lower right representing the River flowing between. Did you take them to the Airport, then met someone you knew from the aero clubs who invited you all aboard for a look around? You snapped your kids coming off the steps for posterity. Just a scenario to fit your statement and the photo evidence? Liverpool International Airport Emblem [/url] [/b] Many thanks to 'Beemer' for adding in the evidence that the logo is that of Merseyside County Council on my behalf.

Wow. That was quick. I can only assume we did visit Liverpool airport and it ties in, perhaps, with other photos in the same batch when we visited Birkenhead after the birth of my nephew. By then we had been living in Wiltshire for 6 years, so LPL was not my immediate thought. Thanks Brian
