With the lifting of Covid travel restrictions, the re-opening of the Airport to the public, and the arrival of an IndiGo Airbus A320 the first trip of the year was a no brainer.

Kemble is now open Tuesday - Saturday 0900hrs to 2100hrs, closed Monday and Sunday. The AV8 bistro is still closed, but the food caravan is operational.

Briefly the Airfield is rammed with airliners facing a new future as baked bean and beer cans, 10 Boeing 747s (11 if you include G-MKGA which is a resident) and many

Airbuses. The Air Zena Georgian Airlines Boeing 737 was hiding in hangar 2, I have included it for completeness. The Belfast ramp had many aircraft sections including

HB-JGK Lockheed Jetstar, G-CJNS Brussels BAe 146, the front half of G-EMBC Embraer 145 and others. I noted ...........

Another Jet Time Boeing B.737NG 73A OH-JTZ arrived during the week (15th) from Billund.

A surprise departure from Kemble today (2nd February 2021) VT-INV the rather scruffy and tired looking Indigo A320 departed under it's own steam. It ferried to Varna, Bulgaria as VP-COG destined for LZ-*** Electra Airways.

I manage to drive past Kemble about once a month (legitimate!)and was passed today. Dont think you can get in to the Tower area but from the Burger Bar in the layby you can see there is a lot more in the main scrap area, including the first of the ex BA 747s to be dismembered, It is the one marked "One World" and the whole Tail and Fin area has gone. There was a Digger dangerously near by. The ex KLM example is over there as well but doesnt look like its been touched yet.

Brief legitimate halt at Kemble this morning. 2 7373s, OY-JTT of Jet Time and the Air Italy one have been moved and are now by the main road in frony of the 4 ex BA 747s on that line.Presume this means they are next in line for the axe?
