Hi All
Can anyone provide some further detail on a report I discovered of a Hawker Hunter rear fuselage coded "801" noted at Hawarden circa 2008?
Any info gratefully received
thanks

I am only guessing this is the same aircraft, around 2005 the was a hunter at Exeter marked 801 ex Oman I think. No idea what happened to it,but this may be a start.

Thanks Dave - begs the question of how the the rear fuse came to be at Hawarden, and what happened to it since there are no recent reports of it being there
cheers

Hi Dave
It was listed as one of the resident odds & ends on the now defunct Hawarden Spotters site, with last confirmed sighting in early 2008 - no mention of who it was with though.
Might ask NWMAS
cheers

Looks like it was the back end of the "801" that was at Exeter back in 2005 - probably went to the scrap-man. Front end of that aircraft apparently went to New Zealand!

Hi Richard Have had a chat with the folks at NWMAS who effectively confirmed my previous post - thanks. So far so good here, though Covid is fighting back in Victoria. NSW is just about keeping on top of it at the moment. ....and it's peeing down cheers JD
