2 C-130J's c/s 11-5778 & 11-5731 plus ZK372+ZK438+ZJ946+ZK321+2 unknown all Typhoons and 1 SC7 Skyvan CF-ARA busy busy via ADSB-....now joined by KC-135R 58-0036 as I said busy busy from ADSB-. The 2 unknowns....ZK380 & ZK439 from ADSB-

Most likely all involved in Exercise Point Blank. It was a multi national exercise over the North Sea.

You could be right about the exercise but who was the Skyvan flying for the Canadians maybe 😎

Frank, There are two Shorts SC.7 Skyvans based at Brize Norton, C-FARA and C-GKOA of Summit Air or were when we visited in 2016. I don't know what purpose they serve. Beemer.

AFAIK, they are used by the British military for basic parachute drop training, special ops free-fall and sport - being far cheaper to operate than anything the RAF has to offer.

I know civillian registered aircraft have been used by the military before. Its similar to Air Tanker for the RAF Voyagers occasionally you see a civilian refistered one.
