A visit recently to this very nice Northern German airport, which is now of course linked to LPL by Ryanair, revealed a very nice viewing gallery on the roof of the terminal, not only open but free,no security checks and no glass A bit like it used to be at LPL all those years ago,the only thing missing? its not very busy, hers some pics. A preserved VFW 614 airliner a bit ahead of its time and not a commercial success is actually part of the roof terrace. The roof terrace,it was a hot day,but there is a restaurant, but no shade. A great view and no glass,a very rare treat in Europe these days. Bremen City airport is just that,A city airport only 11 minutes by tram to the Altstadt and Hauptbanhoff, also a regular bus service to Hamburg is available, the terninal is behind the tram and a very different kind of terminal building. i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp183/CALFLIER001/bretram.jpg[/IMG]This very tidy old Bristol Lodekka is used by the airport for promotional events etc, very nice indeed. So Bremen airport is well worth a visit, and is a very interesting City also.

Think it's worth a visit for the VFW-614 alone, plus it looks like a few OLTs as well.
Thanks for the info,

As usual the Germans leave us dead for viewing areas. Good report.

Thanks Bob.I think Schipol is probably the best in europe at the moment, but they can certainly teach our airport operators how to become more community friendly shall we say!.
