Start of the clean up

Just  three photo's from the start of the clean up on the GA road . Photo's from road on to the mound  but what you cant see . as Beemer stated the tree at the far end of the mound has been cut down which now gives a clear view of aircraft on approach. As far as the mound clearance I should imagine that this will be a fairly long job As you can see from the photo's a lot of branches are still at the bottom of the mound  after being cut. 
i will if possible try and keep this up to date .

Wow area near the fence looks so much better. Hope it will be maintained like that

Looking at the second picture it looks as if some of us will need a grappling hook to get to the top but it looks a lot better

Asfar as we know the clean up is being done by young offenders

Just a few more photo's to show the progress on the GA road . There are quiet a few heaps to be removed but it is getting better every week. Note the large trees on top of the mound have now been removed which gives a better viewof aircraft on approach.

The portacabin behind Peter's car is a rest room, toilets and dining facilities for the Community Pay back crew who are tidying the place up. The piles of gravel or for surfacing the car park and will be spread and levelled by hand. No JCB or machinery will be involved. Beemer.
