Runcorn/Widnes bridge closures

I noticed this in the local paper warning of bridge closures. On Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday 3-4th of May the Runcorn/Widnes bridge will be closed completely for essential maintenance and all traffic will be diverted through Warrington. Further maintenance closures are planned for Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday May 24-25th but does not state complete closures for this one. Hope this helps those who intended using the bridge around these times. Regards Beemer.

The Bridge will close Sunday 3rd @ 22:00hrs. til 05:00hrs Monday morning. They are replacing the re-furbished mechanical crawlers that fit on the arch chords of the bridge and travel over the very top for maintenance work. You may have noticed the structures with bogie wheels, on the west side of the bridge adjacent to the railway station. Regards Beemer.
