I was told at the time that the AVP was Tier 2 and that's why I didn't comment.

The Greater Manchester boundary runs through the Airport - the AVP is in Greater Manchester (Tier 3) and the Bollin Valley mound is in Cheshire.

If you had bothered to check the Government guidelines before posting I have done nothing wrong. Travelling into or out of a Tier 3 alert level area
Avoid travelling outside your area, including for overnight stays, other than where necessary, such as: * for work * for education * to access voluntary, charitable or youth services * because of caring responsibilities * for moving home * to visit your support bubble* for a medical appointment or treatment As a single person, living alone I was quite entitled to meet a similar person in a Tier 3 area as part of my support bubble.
I suggest you mind your own business in future !!! |

The spirit of the current restrictions on movements is surely in the first sentence:
By taking and exhibiting hobby photos it is clear that what is being shared by internet is bending any declared excuse for travel.
As responsible admin it most certainly "is our business" to ensure that members are not leaving themselves open by posting evidence showing they are travelling between 'tier' regions for the purposes of following their hobby (even if only incidental). Then, not leaving it at that, bringing even more attention to the fact, by arguing the detail in reply to a very mildly worded comment from Admin.
I would agree though that the whole 'thing' about tiers and regions (especially as boundaries are not always drawn with any logic!) is complex, fast altering and confusing, so that what is 'above board' one day is 'outside the rules' the next.
I would just personally add, please everyone keep safe - which in essence is keep any mixing with others down to a minimum, whatever the Tier or this week's rules allow or doesn't permit.

Viscount, I arranged to meet a female friend at Morrisons in order to pick up some lunch before going on elsewhere. As you are aware the Airport is adjacent so it was hardly a major diversion.
You may or may not be aware that I had a furious argument with Beemer some months ago regarding photographs and his attitude towards me, along with other allegations. Quite frankly I am sick of the schoolboy bitching over photos and I am tempted to delete ALL of my posts and leave this Forum.
Manchester Airport is also in Tier 3 and has been for many months, numerous photos have been posted by other members without comment, need I say more. If all these photos are considered 'illegal' then delete them and have done with it. I am passed caring and have more important things to worry about at the moment.
Finally the first sentence does not include the word "absolutely" which has been added by yourself to change the context !
