Useful info for those wishing to travel to the EU from January 1st.

Sad that my visitors will no longer be able to bring me my Stilton and Melton Mowbray pork pies, although since Northern Ireland shares a common trading status with the Republic, it will be possible in theory to bring my Stilton if you want to come the long way round. A reciprocal rule does not seem apply for French and Dutch cheeses and meats going to UK.
