I wish they would bring back the viewing areas in the airports, at a reasonable charge that is, with ID for security and checks on bags, after all it could be a good earner (£££££!!!),allthough an area would have to be a secure place and with its own entrance, on the same lines as the AVP 30 miles down the M56 but without their prices.

On my travels I found Japan to be the most friendly as regards balconies and photography, ok you had a large fence in front of you but then you had dedicated places to pop your lens through with no problem whatsoever. All terraces were considered family friendly and although security was there they didn’t interfere at all. My favourite was Narita, two terminals and great food outlets.

Vanguard/All I go to Guernsey every year which has excellant facilities just like the good old days you go into the terminal up the stairs and you are looking out onto the Ramp you can sit with the passengers and have a drink at the cafe, movements are a bit slow but you do get interesting visitors,Jersey was just the same but i havn`t been there for about 10 years so it might have changed Will try and post some pics from Guernsey later
