Thought my hearing was playing up standing on my balcony at 0100am this morning when I heard the sound of a Chinook getting louder from tis morning from the direction of Point Of Ayr Saw nav lights over Dee and heard c/s Lifter mention MURRYFIELD hospital on 119.85, which I can see the area of from my flat and sure enough nav light circling the area, I then saw them departing in the direction of Wales a short time later. Anyone any ideas, Over to you Alex If he didnt land it would have woken most of that area up, ;D

Im in West Kirby and they woke me up... noted heading towards the Arrowe Park/Irby area then heading back over Greasby/Irby/Thurstaston and then over the dee...
There appear to have been two of them... and they didn't sound quite normal... HC3's perhaps...?
I believe Murryfield has specialist decompression chamber could that have something to do with it...?

That must have been the racket that woke me up in Bagillt on the Dee bank just north of Flint. Sounded like a very noisy motorbike going up the steep hill.I went to the window but saw nothing.

May have been casevac from an Ex somewhere, only id I got from radio tx was normal Lifter c/s. Could well have been two aircraft from nav lights I saw one just circled the area. btw zebedee you are correct about Murreyfield they have the NW Hyperbaric unit for treatment of people suffering from the divers problem of the benz. If that is the case here perhaps the visit relates to SF ops excercise somewhere.
