I have been attempting to tie up some registrations to flights that I took as a passenger where the aircraft was not a new one for me and therefore didn't go in my log book. After 2008 I started to use Flight Memory and recorded all of the details. My gaps are from before then. These are the ones relating to Manchester. I thought that I would put some requests on various Forums before a general request to some mailing lists.

From the paper NWAN magazine of the time:
British Airways flights are not itemised, so no help with 1990, 1994 or 2007 however: Sunday 12th May 1996, the Sabena flight numbers don't quite match, but SN 8618 was OO-SDX Tuesday 14th May 1996, the Lufthansa LH 4026 was D-ABJC Wednesday 15th October 1997 - Ryanair's not itemised Friday 17th October 1997, no idea who 5E were, but try BRO 602 as PH-BRK
Don't really hold out to much hope for any of the others, but you never know.
None for Liverpool? Pretty good records were kept in the '90s of virtually anything that moved airliner wise.

Thanks for the quick response. I took the SN7618 flight number from an old Airport Timetables book as well as a web site with the 1996 OAG timetable (admittedly that was effective from 1 October 1996). Other Flight Memory users have noted flights on SN7618 with no mention of SN8618 but I'll go with the OO-SDX. 5E was BASE airlines - my outbound flight on the 16th had also been on PH-BRK - it operated to/from Eindhoven via Rotterdam. I only flew in/out of Liverpool in 1967 and I haven't tied down the exact dates - I need to find some old family photos to try and tie it down. It would have been either 22 July 1967 or 29 July 1967 outbound (Saturday afternoon Cambrian Viscount flight to Ronaldsway) with return either 5 August or 12 August 1967. I tend to think it was 22 July and 5 August as the last week of July and first week of August was my Dad's usual fortnight summer holiday.

Back in 1967 we kept decent records of visiting aircraft (indeed those complete visiting aircraft logs are to be found in the Nostalgia section of NWAN Forum. However based aircraft of Cambrian and British Eagle, along with the regular Aer Lingus flights were totally ignored apart from any new arrivals in the fleets. So even if you could find the dates they would be of little use. Some passenger movement ledgers for that period are kept in the Liverpool Record Office - but if summer 1967 is there I don't immediately know.

Someone's spent a long time going back to find 2 year old threads, and ignoring that 3 of 9 requests were fully answered at the time for free.

Yes - I've noticed that mw5 has offered his research and admin fee on several threads. I will not be contacting him to pay for any information - but I am happy to provide any information if I can to others free of charge when I can.

I’m sure most of us check to see if we have the information that someone requests, I know I always do
But, if I was stuck and as a last resort I’d pay a small fee for that missing registration

If it was a piece of information that is going to add a frame to my records I would perhaps agree to pay but as it is only a record of the registration of a certain flight I was on and it was my original decision not to record this at the time (before I discovered Flight Memory) I will leave things as they are (as apart from what is now the 5 outstanding that are Manchester related I still have another 132 unknowns, but that is only 10% of the 1359 flights I have on Flight Memory).
