Mentioned in the Liv Movements today is a Spitfire ;D Managed to snap this in the low clagg this afternoon between Wallasey and the Wind Farms heading back towards its North Wales field home. G-CITX, I think Owed by Mr.Hodson who previously also had the Harvard now at LPJL. Sorry about the quality.

Thanks BoB, I only knew it was there because of the sound, then it appeared from out of the low level clagg way off the coast, only had my trusty little Lumix handy, but the zoom is pretty handy.

It came into Woodvale yesterday morning at about 9, so you must have caught it on its way back to its 'private site'

Still owned by Tony Hodgson who has a private strip just up the road from me outside Holywell. Not sure if the Spitfire is resident there, I've seen nominal bases as both Caernarfon and Duxford.
For the record the reg is G-CTIX.

The site used as a base by T.H was Bryn Bach Farm when my glider was there. To see him land or take off from that field had to be seen, especially the twin Beech he owned or the Harvard. His hanger had some realy nice and unusual stuff hidden away in particular a beautiful Staggerwing amongst others.
