Picking up news that a Lufthansa Cargo MD has crashed on landing at Riyadh. Initial reports are that the 2 x crew have survived.
Concerns already being raised about the MD-11's safety record, apparently weather conditions were good at Riyadh.

As silverback says, it doesn't have the best of reputations, particularly as a freighter. The wind is down the runway, the weather conditions are good, the crew are alive thankfully, so the accident investigators should be able to get some useful information.
edited to add: It now appears that there was a fire in one of the lower cargo holds prior to landing. If that is the case, it's fortunate it didn't happen earlier.
