Taken in a hotel room in Shenzhen a few years back.
I thought it was bad when I found the mains powered smoke detector unplugged...........
Only later did I realise that, even if it was plugged in, the area suffered frequent and prolonged power outages!
At least they provided a torch.....
I believe things did improve in preparation for the Olympics!
