It was a nice day, so time to catch up with what is happening at Mere Sands, especially before they double the parking fee in a week's time! There wasn't a lot to photograph of great interest and I took all my pictures at the start and end of my circuit; Grebes again Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Great Crested Grebe by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr I then moved to the next hide, missing a pair of Kingfishers by minutes! Next it was lunch on a bench, overlooking farm fields. I noticed some Hares in the field a distance away. As I watched, a pair stood up on hind legs and started to box....made the day, but a pity it was a bit far away for the camera. The last ones near the car park, some signs of spring: Blackthorn blossom by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr Blackthorn by Philip Gaulton, on Flickr There were also bumble bees, butterflies, mostly Brimstone and sounds of birdsong...Chiffchaff and woodpecker drumming...spring is here Phil
