Something I’ve been meaning to do for a while is to take a night shot of the Liverpool city skyline. With the Crown Princess in today, on her final visit for the year, what better an opportunity so here goes... Ian. Liverpool city skyline from Seacombe. Skyline with the Crown Princess. Turning the Crown Princess on the incoming tide before departure.

Thanks for the comments cityflyer. The lens I used is a Nikon DX AF-S 18-105 1:3.5-5.6 VR on a Nikon D80 body. The following settings were used for the picures in order of viewing: pic 1. 24mm f/4 3sec ISO 200 pic 2. 22mm f/25 21.4sec ISO 200 pic 3. 50 mm f/29 21sec ISO 200 pic 4. 70mm f/29 13.3sec ISO 200 Foolishly, I had left the exposure compensation set at +0.3 from my last outing and this must have had some bearing on the exposure time.....lesson learned. I also used a tripod and an infra-red shutter release to minimise camera shake. I'm quite pleased with the results but am open for critisism and advice from some of our more experienced photographers if they feel like so I can better the shots next time. Ian.
