Rarely am I let down by the experts on this forum. Here is a picture of two guys in an old car which I believe to have been taken at Blakes Autos before 1939. I believe Blakes was a dealer for Ford Motors in Liverpool. The nearest of the two men is my Father who died in 1952 when I was very young. I can only date this pic as pre 1939 because dad was in the TA and sent off to France to fight, coming back through Dunkirk. Like many others he was demobbed and put into industry. AT&E Co. Ltd at Edge Lane. (Later it became Plessey), so I doubt he would be sitting in an old car there or anywhere afterwards. My mum always blamed the effect the chaos at Dunkirk for his early death. My question. Identify the type of vehicle please? Scan_0012 dad with Blakes Auto car by Ron Turner, on Flickr

Thanks Mike,
I am sure you solved the puzzle. I am thrilled, especially as its French.
