Tommy aka Electric43/BravoXray
It was very upsetting for me as Tommy and I were good friends and would always chat to each other at the GA. We also shared something in common, Prostate Cancer. We would share notes on symptoms and treatments. I thought I had a problem about 18 years ago and went to see the doctor who confirmed that I had it and started the treatment straight away with injections and Radiotherapy. I am now one of the lucky ones and have had the all clear. Tommy used to ask about the radiotherapy, and I would tell him all about it hoping to put his mind at rest. I sent him a photo the end of July of myself sat on the RT machine the day before he was due to start his treatment.
I have been trying for weeks to find out if anyone knew how he was as I did not get a reply to my message. Tom you were a lovely bloke and will be sadly missed by me and I am sure many more on this Forum.
RIP Tom and all my condolences to your family and to your brother for informing us of the sad news.

My condolences to Tom's family and friends. It is always hard to hear about people passing away from such things as Prostate Cancer, which is close to my heart too. My brother has been dealing with it for a number of years, as have I. Three biopsies, a course of medications and ongoing appointments with my Urologist every six months. They call it watchful waiting, and I am comfortable with it. For you young invincibles out there, read up about it, and be proactive about any high PSA levels. It can and will bite you. Getting old sucks, but it sucks even more if you ignore the signs.

Very sad news indeed, Tommy was a very likeable character and we always found time for chat on the GA road. My condolences to all of his family and friends. Having had a blood in urine scare, scans and endoscopes I was diagnosed 'clear' but you can never be complacent. RIP Tommy - BravoXray you will be missed.

Tommy was a one off. Our travels took us far and wide but every trip was made better by being in Tommy's (and Billy's) company. His knowledge was broad and deep.
His piloting skills were to be admired and I was fortunate enough to fly with him on many occasions. It will take time to adjust to his passing and future trips will never be the same.
There's a new contrail in the sky today. Fly high and land well, Tom. It was a pleasure.
Carpe Diem, folks.
Alan
