I am a bit of a closet spotter, don't collect reg's, don't log - just love watching aircraft take off and land. Through this site I have learned so much about the aviation industry over the past few years and it's been fascinating.
Part of the enjoyment of logging in on this site is to marvel at Beemers fantastic pictures - I for one is in awe at his exploits in and around the runways.
I've never met the guy and he is almost like a 'Stig' figure to me - amazing skill and yet know little or nothing about him.
The reason for my thread is that I'd love to see the best 12 pictures (by all contributors) maybe put into a Calender and sold for charity on the website/airport and maybe the proceeds to a local charity???
I was looking at Manchester's Movements and also saw some fantastic pictures of the A380 (especially meeting a 747) and maybe incorporate or do a Calender there too???
Just a suggestion ...
Mike

Rumour has it,that Beemer will be writing his autobiography soon, and revealing his true indentity,LOL. Good idea about the photos we have some very talented photographers contributing to this site,as good as if not better than some of the aviation magazine,s efforts.

I think we all know his name is Brian Thompson. And with all due respect, those photos in aviation magazines are vetted by professionals before being published. The article in October's AIrliner World about Liverpool spotting - well the author contacted both Beemer & myself asking for permission to use our photos in the article. I gave permission for mine; it was printed. I don't know if Brian did or not, but his wasn't chosen.
