Test pilot Tarnish10 dodged the rain showers to take this Warton-based Typhoon for a 1.5 hour flight over the Irish Sea. G-BXIA WB615 DHC-1 Chipmunk 22 by Dan Sprague, on Flickr In the afternoon Tarnish10 went up again in windy, gloomy conditions in this plain grey 'rare' Warton-based Typhoon. According to the Fighter Control forum, it was completed in 2015 at which time it was test-flown, then was allocated to ground testing for several years until it flew again (twice?) in November and December 2021. This is believed to be its first flight since then. It had no tanks fitted and only did a short 30-minute sortie, but this included an ear-splitting performance take-off. It showed as "RETR0" on FR24/ADSB. ZK370 Typhoon FGR4 by Dan Sprague, on Flickr ZK370 Typhoon FGR4 by Dan Sprague, on Flickr ZK370 Typhoon FGR4 by Dan Sprague, on Flickr
