Some shots taken during a visit in 2008, the museum is about 5 mins drive from the terminal area at Dulles. Not brilliant for photography but contains some real gems: Enola Gay Do335 - the only survivor out of 10 built Stratoliner NC19903 Shuttle OV-101 (the one that piggy backed on a B747) GC

Some of the "smaller" exhibits: Lockheed 5B NR105W - broke the "round the world" record in 1943. Grumman F8F N1111L Arrow Sport G-AARO - didn't expect to make "G-" GA in DC! Will find some shot at the Smithsonian in downtown DC later. GC

Some great clear photos GC. The first one looks like it could have been taken in the American Military museum at Duxford. Great scheme on N1111L. Regards Beemer.

Great photos, especially the Lockheed Vega "Winnie Mae" which landed at RAF Sealand on 24 June 1931 while on one of the round-the-world trips!
