I decided to go to Aintree on a very wet Friday but I left the rain behind me some where between Runcorn and Aintree. All alone on the viewing spot at Barlow's Lane till Kenny turned up to help me read off the regs. It turned out weather wise to be not a bad day, dry but visibility was down to 900ft according to the Police P.68R pilot. I spoke to the security guys who saw no problem at all other than where you park in Barlow's as it is restricted parking which I didn't know. Not a bad day with 15 helicopter movements for the morning. I hope Viscount puts the code into my list as they will all bunch together. Watched them go overhead whilst working from home, with the less than spectacular weather. Sadly, for the same reason as last year, I won't be there tomorrow :-( Hope the weather picks up for anyone going , and that you get some good traffic.
