Saturday 27th May
1100 – 1110 Seafire and Swordfish formation display

1150 – 1205 BBMF (Lancaster, Hurricane, Spitfire) Flypast (3 passes)

1315 – 1330 (Lancaster, Hurricane, Spitfire) Flypast (3 passes)

1500 – 1510 Seafire and Swordfish formation display



Sunday 28th May
1230 – 1245 (Lancaster, Hurricane, Spitfire) Flypast (3 passes)

1350 – 1400 Swordfish display

1720 – 1730 Swordfish display

George Jones informs me that the following vessels will be in the Mersey that weekend to:

Joining HMS Defender on the prime berth of the Cruise Liner Terminal at the heart of Liverpool’s waterfront will be the French frigate Bretagne, and Trinity House Vessel Patricia. The American destroyer USS Ramage will also call into Liverpool during the weekend.

Anyone have any more info on this yet whether the aircraft will be based at LPL, and if so any timings?

FNS Bretagne and HMS Defender at the Cruise terminal this morning.

Bretagne no heli on deck and hangers shut, Defender has a Wildcat on deck, although it was a little too far away for my eyes to see the serial.

Military village now being set up, a Lynx is there and a Sea King in arctic camouflage.

Is the USS Ramage (DDG 61) still expected to visit.

Seawaves.com states it is due in, but it's not in yet. Also looking on Marine Traffic, I can't see it

The Swordfish should be G-BMGC/W5856, its currently as I type over Wallasey
BBMF is looking like PA474 (Lancaster) and LF363 (hurricane) which are currently Formby/Ormskirk way
The P8A should Be ZP809 which is over the Irish Sea at the moment

Have seen pictures of a R Navy Lynx coded 305 and a Gazelle and Sea King on the Pier Head military display area ... cant make out serials due to the angle of the shot...
