A few grainy photos from a flying visit to Woodford Air Show in 1981 in G-BEWR 172 of CATS. It is a pleasure to fly into an air show but more of a pleasure flying out when you look down and see the queues of traffic trying to get away. I remember that as you flew to the show you were entitled to go where the general public where not allowed like close up to the aircraft. One of the great pleasures in life is to fly to an air show, especially in a Cessna whose wings are useful to shade under in hot weather, or rain, and doubly so if parked on the flight line. Nice pic of the Jumgmeister.

Agree with all the above! Had a great day in the early eighties, flew into the Valley airshow from Woodvale in Jim Walsh's Piper Lance G-OJCW, a brilliant day and flew back over Snowdonia.

Who remembers when we all went to Valley in the late 60s. Me flying the Tri-Pacer and Jim Keen the Rapide?
