Had a drive around TFN, quite easy to read off all from the GA area and Camino El Matadero which parallels the runway on the southside and is accessed from TF24 just past rwy 30 threshold. EC-CCZ Ce172 EC-DXU Viscount (ex G-AOYO,WFU) EC-EIQ Ce150 EC-EQV Pa34 EC-HQI A320 Vueling EC-HUU Pa28 EC-JBI ATR72 Binter EC-JCD ATR72 Islas EC-JEH ATR72 Binter EC-JGX Ka32 EC-JQL ATR72 Binter EC-KSG ATR72 Binter EC-KUR ATR72 Islas EC-LGF ATR72 Binter HU.15-31/09-123 Bo105 Guardia Civil The Viscount has moved from the GA area to a compound at the rwy 30 end and is surrounded by a high fence. The Kamov was unexpected but too far away to shoot GC

Were the Guarda, Civil when they met you ? so to speak. It may be useful for other spotters to know.

Just on the road by the compound containing the Viscount, I'd stopped on the road which I think was the problem rather than spotting per se!
No probs at all around the GA or the "south" road even though it leads to the army camp who were on gunnery practice with 105mm Howitzers!

Currently on a non spotting trip to Tenerife couldnĀ“t find the Viscount when I looked last week so glad of the above posting. Just to help with directions if you come out of the TFN terminal you come to a roundabout take the first turning right not towards the TF-5 and then take the first right again this is a minor road which skirts the runway which is well above you at this point. Just follow this road and Viscount is on RHS very little opportunity to park on this road it would require a walk to or back from safer places to park. On a general spotting point follow the TF-24 around end of 30 and before you see a turn which runs parallel to runway there is a turning up left it seems locals stop here to watch the action on the runway as it is level with the threshold and above the fence line. Thats all from sunny TFN regards Colin

Just a few pictures taken from the spotting point mentioned above. Spoke to a local photographer whilst there and it would seem this is the best place to go for photo's. EC-LAD EC-KKZ EC-KBV EC-HUL Cheers Colin
