Hi all
A long overdue visit to the home of Airbus.
A slightly different route this time, there are no direct flights to Toulouse from anywhere in the NW which is a pain in the preverbial, so flew MAN to Carcassonne. This is a tiny little airport, for those of you who collect light about 5 or 6 were seen on landing and taxy in, but as I don't they didnt trouble me at all. Very quickly through passport control to get the now obligatory passport stamp, then over to car hire, which strangely is across the road from the terminal.....there is a tunnel under the road.
Alamo were pretty quick to give me my little car, and I was soon en route. Its roughly 50 mins and 8 euro's on the motorway and you get to TLS.
One thing it was VERY hot, so heathaze was a big problem this visit, plenty of water during the day, and a few cold ones in the evening purely to keep hydrated :-)
I did the usual run across to Francazal while I was there, I'll do a seperate post for there.
Anyway, on with the images:

This is old MSN 780, she was B-6073, which I saw at TLS back in 09-2006. She is obvously carrying out some form of testing for Airbus, and she was up multiple times every day I was there, and some very strange approach patters too, but the oddest thing to me are the markings above the cockpit, very similar to USAF receiver aircraft. I guess only time will tell....or maybe it won't!!!
