Hi Everyone,
I had some things shipped over here but some things ( i.e photographs ) have gone missing in transit.
Would anyone in the group have any pictures of the following:
Cambrian final colour scheme Viscount, Bac 1-11 ( 1970-72 ) it does not matter which a/c as I saw the fleet many years ago.
Aer Lingus Boeing 737 and Viscount colour scheme from around 1970 it does not matter which as I saw the fleet many years ago
Dan air Ambassador and DC 3 ( G AMPP )
If anyone has any pictures and would be happy to have copies done for me, I can transfer the money over to cover that and the postage expense.
Many thanks,
Paul

Do you require real pictures or digital ones OK? Whatever Samba gives you will be as good as or better than mine. If you are not successful in your search, some back to me.

Please note that the Liverpool Speke Airport Nostalgia Group site does NOT allow people to steal, and I use that word deliberately, other people's photographs. Anyone who does so is removed from the site without notice.

Gerry - I agree 100% with your comments and I suspect that as the author of some fantastic books with great photos in them (which I still prefer to look at as books rather than scrolling through images on the web), I suspect that you have suffered such breach of copyright. Paul's original request suggested that he had some photographs of his own and presumably he had not digitalised these either for personal use or sharing on the web. If he requires copies of photos of specific aircraft (such as G-AMPP as he mentioned) and needs this to include for example in a personal database - definitely not something with any public access, my intention was to point him in a certain direction - apologies if I didn't make that clear. I did find another picture of G-AMPP at Speke on the Dan Air remembered web site - the photographer is not acknowledged (it is not the same picture as the one taken by the late Phil Duckett that I initially referred to).

I think I take a more fatalistic (realistic?) approach to placing photos on the internet. I know some people are going to copy and paste the more interesting of the images I post, even if I should politely ask them not to do so - but providing the image just remains saved in their PC for private viewing that's fine by me. I'd much rather have images (particularly older, rarer ones) shared and admired, than sit in my own private collection.
I'm surprised that more of the regular image contributors on NWAN do not watermark their name onto the picture when exporting the image. While I am aware that a discrete name in the lower corner can easily be removed with a simple crop, to remove it shows a real intent to claim the image as theirs, as the big issue comes when a third party copies, pastes and uses someone else's image to make money or reputation from it. If I was to ban anyone from posting a photo that was not their original on NWAN, I would be at the head of the list to go. However, I am particular to painstakingly name the source (and absolutely not make money from it), just look at the WWII in Liverpool thread. If not shared now what an historical loss they would be.
The whole area of image copyright and intellectual property is a minefield. Google totally ignores copyright, claiming all images posted are theirs to use if they feel fit. Read the deliberately long winded and confusing small print if you have time to waste and like generating a headache.

If people are worried about ‘stolen’ photos you can see him up to Pixsy and if you give them access to your Flickr page they will search the net for your images You get a monthly report of where your images have appeared and they will even help with taking people to task
