Qatari c/s Hawk ZB134 "JAVELIN" made a pass on 08 at 17.15 POWK came late from LGW at 17.25 for MAN rotation, then looks like LPL rotation. Airport shows LM688 due to land at EGNS circa 22.30 and Fr shows departure back to LGW after 11pm....
An expensive day for Loganair, even before the EU claims are made.

G-POWK will operate the evening IOM-LPL but is then positioning back to LGW. The retun LPL-IOM has been cancelled, presumably because of the time it would get back to Ronaldsway.

Complete disaster for Loganair today. Not a single flight was even close to being on schedule. The Titan A320 was hours late on every sector, even before the LPL was cancelled, so lots of UK261 to pay. This fiasco must have cost them a lot of money, but, more important, is the damage to the Island's reputation.

..... is the damage to the Island's reputation. Guys. Two comments:- 1. Loganair is a Scottish-owned, Scottish-based airline which happens to operate services to and from the IOM (as well as a great number of other airports). Yesterday it had unspecified "technical problems" - something which effects every airline from time-to-time. I'm sure these problems effected other services as well as the IOM but even if we were the only place effected, that would be Loganair's decision, not that of the IOM. They obviously did their best, chartering - at no doubt great expense - Titan to help out. The fact that the aircraft arrived about 3 hours later than planned had nothing to do with the IOM (more likely down to the problems being suffered by Gatwick, from whence it came ?). Surely the reputational damage should be to Loganair ? Why blame the IOM ?? 2. As far as I am aware, this bulletin board is intended as a place where airfield movements, expected and actual, plus photos and maybe even rumours relating to movements can be posted. Over the last year or so it has become increasingly used for somewhat "political" comments which I feel are outside of the intentions of this board - and would be better placed on "Manx Forums". Can we please return to it's original purpose.
