Glad to hear a supporter of our red chums admitting they played in Division 2 the vast majority think the league only started in 1962. (LOL)
We all remember our hero's of the past, and one thing was for sure in those days was you could name every player in the team 1-11 not like today.
Everyone also knew who the first team was for the other 1st division teams.
Those days I am afraid will never come back with all these multi-Millionaire average footballers. Who don't give a damn about the fans.
First Everton team I saw in 1963 West, Parker, Meagan, Gabriel, Labone, Harris, Scott, Stevens, Young (GOD), Vernon, Temple. ;D
That was without looking at the programmes.
