The winter months closure has enabled the second bay of the hangar to have its floor painted the Meteor re asssembled and the Vampire moved into that bay aand the wings fitted after re paint and new roundels and serials applied ....part of the old hangar door is now mounted on the wall together with a section of a roof truss to show the construction etc ...see Hooton Park trust Facebook page for great pictures of the 2 aircraft being re assembled etc . The rear fuselage and tail surfaces of Gemini VH.BOB have arrived as a source of spares for the rebuild of G-AKEM when she arrives . The entrance foyer has been enlarged to allow more space for items being sold to raise funds ...and lots lots more ..will post another update in March The museum re opens on Sunday 28th April..come along and see the changes .if anyone wants to organise a private group tour before then let me know.....
