Less good news for Loganair at the start of the month was LMTG aborting its flight 675 to LHR at lunchtime, spending just 25 minutes aloft. LMTG has taken over the rotation, leaving at 14.50 as 675A This means that this afternoon's MAN rotation 697/8 will be somewhat delayed.

A water cannon salute for 9H-NSV today, reason unknown at present. These phone pics were taken by Ivor Ramsden of the Manx Aviation & Military Museum, and kindly forwarded to me for posting on this forum. 9H-NSV, IOM, 1 March 24 photo Ivor Ramsden (1) cw by Philip Pain, on Flickr 9H-NSV, IOM, 1 March 24 photo Ivor Ramsden (2) cw by Philip Pain, on Flickr 9H-NSV, IOM, 1 March 24 photo Ivor Ramsden (3) cw by Philip Pain, on Flickr

I'm told the water cannon welcome was for a group of executives ( ?) on their first visit to the island.

I watched them depart at 1300 on Sunday 3rd March. There were approx ten passengers, and much 'selfie' picture taking. Looked like they had enjoyed themselves.
