The road trip continues (see previous threads) with a visit to Antwerp Airport, where there was much of interest. It was Delta Air Transport's maintenance base on one side, with the local light aircraft on the other. There was also a military enclave with an unusual Dakota gate guard

This B-26B Invader had been abandoned. It was subsequently sold several times but never left for the USA. It is now on display in the Brussels National Air Museum in USAAF colours. It had only partially been converted to On Mark configuration.

Another rarity, a French built Bucker which served with the French Air Force. It is currently stored dismantled in the Belgian reserve collection store.

The registration 'NVG' seems appropriate, it is not very good, being used for spares.

This is one of my 'photo stitch' efforts, two negatives joined together. No zoom lens in those days.
