Hi Steve.
I have a 140-600 mm lens.
Most pic's where taken from inside the terminal. If you go up the escalators to the the cafe and then up again, you come to a restaurant. Go in and then take an immediate right turn down about 5 steps. Turn left and walk to the end. It over looks the apron and both runways. You won't miss anything. The staff don't bother you.
I have been 3 times and have never needed a car.
To get to the A380 area is about a 25 min walk. If you get the hire car shuttle to parc 5 or 6 this will save you about 15 mins off the walk.
Hope this helps.
Mark.

What magnificent photos--I am completely envious of those--It just shows what can be done with a good camera and time to browse around the airport.
I have a partner and am always conscious of the need to be brief so as to ensure future visits--its called a trade off and leads me to such exciting places as shoe museums and dress museums in obscure parts of France--but also steam trains and occasional airports.
Retirement is often more full of wheeler dealing than my life in politics.LOL
Still I think the Grizzly photo heading into the moon is one of the best on the forum and is worthy of a competition entry-well done that man.

Hi John.
The A400's I saw were S and T.
We got there on Sunday night at 10 and left on Weds morning at 10:30. Went with Bmibaby. Cost 86 quid as we booked 4 weeks before we left. Stayed in Premier Classe hotel which cost 129.60 euros for the duration.
Coming back to MAN a women on the plane became very ill and we diverted to Jersey. We dropped from 33000 feet to touchdown in 11 mins. It was the fastest and bumpiest landing I have ever been in.

Cheers Bob.
I would advise anyone to go there, not just for the Airbus stuff, but really good if you need French commuter or internal Airbuses.
