The only reason the three Fisheries vessels were protected in the cuts were because we don't own them!!!

Spent a few years in the RNR at HMS Eaglet and the ship attached was the previous HMS Mersey a ton class minesweeper. Made of wood her draught was just a few feet of water so she would toss and turn on a millpond! Her real name was HMS Pollington (pennant No M1173) but used the name Mersey when attached to the Mersey Division RNR. Happy Days Dave.

i was around the docks yesterday,1.30 pm ish and i believe this was on the move,being pushed by a tug.was it going out to sea or arriving,and does it live here. i'me no anorak on ships,but take an interest in them

it would of been RFA Gold Rover going back into Cammel Lairds to finish her refit
