;D ;D Was feeling pretty smug as we had had only a dusting of snow as can be seen from the view of chez nous form the village church. However this morning I opened the shutters to over 2ft of snow.Deep and crisp and evil.I hate the stuff. The birds on hearing the shutters open began to hover otside and look in---disaster the bird table was covered in snow and they were foodless.

3 Jugs of sunflower seeds and 4 fatballs later ther scene was reminiscent of Heathrow on a good day. And now BA coming into Chambery--not all bad news then.LOL

Property prices in France are usually fairly static---no probs I have NO intention of selling up and leaving. Despite the snow and the skiiers I still am in love with this place--as Mae West said"Come up and see us sometime.)LOL

Nice shots John. Pity the registrations are obscured by the tails but I recognise these two as G-TITY and R-OBIN. Hope this helps

Nice pad John. At least you did not have to go out and battle the elements as we have too, going to work in the UK. Happy Days Bob

After a week of sitting it out and barely cutting into the reserves in the freezers(I love veg. growing!) I had to dig us out to the main road(C1--LOL) Took an hour but we got over to Chambery to shop--not for necessities but for some of us shopping IS a necessity. Its true BobbyEFC that the laid back style is only possible on retirement--but don't worry it does come to us all and the wait is worthwhile, just make sure you have a proper exit strategy and an occupation worth looking forward to.(sorry--the Psych degrees clocking in there despite retirement.LOL) B&B + fishing and cycling for clients +access to 2 major and 2 minor airports--not bad--come and try a sample .Special rates for MSAE members and spotters.

Staff?LOL The only staff I have is one to support me whilst walking. Mind you the Poles did build the house and our Polish friends do keep in contact--however the web page has lapsed and as we only cater for friends and family and old clients I have not renewed it.(Oh and spotters !!) My daughter the web page expert will sort it out in the New Year--she says. If you do want to come just phonwe or e mail direct--we may be able to sort out a good experience for you.--if you like fishing aeroplanes and cycling that is.--and walks in unspoiled counrtyside and the French historical lake district.
