he was finidng it hard to cope after Hillsborough aswel when he decided to leave until rafa gave him the oppourtunity to become an ambassador for the club and when hodgson came in he give him abit more of a role and now hes hodgsons successor for now. 2 liverpool legends in the dug out together

I can't understand the reasoning that because someone was a footballing legend at a club, he must automatically be a managerial success. The 1st time Dalglish was manager he inherited a good team, and then between him and Souness they managed to ruin it. Admittedly KD won at Blackburn, but that was 16 years ago. As a Man City follower, all the troubles at the other end of the M62 make good reading, and you have to look no further than Shearer @ Newcastle to see old players dont make good managers.

As KD mentioned in a press meeting, if managed to remain until the end of the current season he will have the record of being one of the longest serving managers this season. So the scouse humour hasn`t gone.

Despite being born in Manchester, I moved at age 4 to Blackpool.
The first football matches I went to( with my father: and an orange box to stand on). were at Bloomfield Road, watching, amongst others, Stanley Matthews flying down the wing.
Yes, this Manc was more than extremely pleased the other night.

;)Strange how quiet you all were when we tonked you 4-1 at home. Your names have been noted for future occasions--back under your flat wet Manchester stones I think.LOL

The "scouse humour" is not scottish though is what I meant. I see the press are already starting to report that King Kenny hasn`t changed anything A comment which I find pathetic he has had two games and no time to do much but already the vultures are gathering. I reckon instead of having owners of these money machine clubs who buy in only to make money, they actually need owners who know about and are keen on the British style of soccer.
