;DSome people might say that --I did used to go on when Bert Slater was in goal and Alan A'Court on the wing --about the time of the dinosaurs--and I did drive up from Florence to Basle ( In my Reliant Scimitar--best car I ever had.) to watch them play in a friendly against FC Basle --and got Ian Callaghan's autograph to put with my Ron Yeats and Ian StJohn ones (wish I knew where they are now--the autographs I mean) So I do have history--more than Chelsea anyway.LOL John Oakes--no relation to John Noakes of Blue Peter fame LOL

Please refer to my earlier post: You have to be in it to win it, or in it to be knocked out of it.

Although I have supported the Reds for the past 65 years - yes, 65 - I am always pleased to see Everton do well when, and where, it did not affect my team. My delight at their success today is doubled by the fact that they have put Chelsea to the sword - if penalties can be interpreted as "putting to the sword". I look forward to watching Everton lift the trophy at Wembley in May.

Liverpoolman1, I hope you are right but I very much doubt that we will get there basically because we are not good enough. I have been a season ticket holder since 1966, and I know that the real test is getting past Reading Tuesday week, which could be the portential banana skin. Knowing our luck we will get Man U/Arsenal or City away in todays draw, but City away would not be too bad as we always seem to beat them. In any case enjoying the moment which I did not expect. It was a great result for the 6,000 blues who travelled down to London town. As far as winning on penalties is concerned, remember Liverpools last two cup wins in the Champions League and the FA Cup have been in penalty shoot outs. ;D Happy Days Bob
