Although very controversial for such a magnificent place of Christian worship (of which, as a young boy, I used to be part) to play this, I can't help thinking John may have had a point here. It is ironic considering most if not all religions recognise there is but one God, yet religion is sited in most of the wars the world has known and even when fought for other reasons, the winners often states that God was on their side. Perhaps, Mr Lennon would have been better saying 'Imagine one religion, above us only God'. Some how I think it would have been even more controversial if he had but could it be more achievable? news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/8040238.stm

It is ironic considering most if not all religions recognise there is but one God. Atheists might disagree with that statement.
