myself and my mate from Blackpool headed downm late last night, stopping overnight at a Travelodge near Cambridge, 19 quid all in, so good deal. Got to Stansted this morning by 7.30am, and stayed till 2, persistant rain all day, and miserable really, (considering 40 miles North was glorious sunshine!) but some decent frames for us both so we were happy!
Of note between these times were
N317UP B767 UPS N312AA B767 ABX G-GSSC B747 GTI TC-AAI B737 Pegasus TC-JKR B737 Turkish (Anadolu livery) G-LCYG E170 BA D-AVRR 146 Lufthansa D-AHXJ B737 Air Berlin D-ABGP A319 D-ABQ. DHC-8 Poss F (steep take off and no clear view of reg) G-POWD B767 (departed empty and was up inside 200 yards, amazing take off) G-ZAPO 146 G-ZAPR 146 G-ZAPX B757
No new Easyjets at all Ryans were mainly the older EI-Dxx reg examples, and NO new EI-ENx examples at all! But made 7 new EF's/EK's and EM's
Biz noted were
N3618F A319CJ Departed. N241FR CL601 Departed N18DF F900 Departed N142HF G450 Departed G-IZAP LJ Departed VP-CPA BBJ Landed A6-AAB 146 Departed N7799T G4 G-LALE Legacy Departed G-JBIS C560 Departed P4-MES B767 HB-JGQ CL300 Departed
a nice haul of 19 for me all in all. and an enjoyable day, apart from the rain!
I hope this is of interest to some

Good log there Bob. Where did you spot from? I'm planning a trip there soon and was wondering if the mound area on the far side through the long bushes and next to the fire trainer is still there?
Cheers, Steve

Steve, thanks for the comments, and yes, it is still there, but we parked further down as I heard security and the local bobbies had moved people on so close to the fire trainer Still, the view is good, a little cover from the rain (take a brolley as we did) was fairly quiet at times, quite large gaps between landings etc but its still the winter schedules, so it will pick up. I missed off the 3 Germanwings 319's too, as I have cleared the fleet I forgot to note them!
Enjoy the trip

If you've got some, take some chairs with you Steve......some loooong gaps at times during the day! The local bobbies are running a local spotters type organisation down there now, so they are pretty clued up re spotting now, they're even quite OK when they see you round by the old terminal getting any biz that are visible!!!!!!

Thanks lads for the replies. I'm hoping to go this weekend. I will take a chair just in case the gaps are long. I'm hoping to go and sit on the mound area to the right of the long bushes as I do photography, unless anyone knows any other good areas? Hoping to get the Fedex 772F.
