On a recent visit to Manchester I was asked by a gentleman on the mound , had I heard anything of a theft of valuable equipment (Camera & Lenses plus Scanner) from a vehicle which was on the mound at Liverpool Airport, I for one frequently visit the mound and I have heard nothing about this theft, have even asked Beemer ,his reply was that he had heard nothing. My advice would be to keep your camera's etc out of sight until you need them and don't leave your car unattended. Has anyone who reads the forum heard anything about this incedent ? . blueaircraft79

I did start a thread in non-aviation titled 'Unsavoury Characters' some weeks ago which ended up giving some useful information and reminders. I have concerns for anyone who attends the mound 'single-manned' as there are regular 'casings' by the local thugs. Be aware and be safe........ Regards, Garry

I have visited the mound many times over the years and never had any trouble whether on my own or accompanied.
