Has any of the more mature members ,ie old gits with concessionary bus passes used this service yet?To-day, I phoned their Manchester office for clarification regarding a statement in their new brochure that "concessionary passes accepted, subject to local authority rules" The guy was a little unsure, but his understanding was that over 60,s passes were accepted, although he did point out about pre-booking,coach/bus could be full if you turned up on spec. etc.etc. Anyone any further info??

As I understand it the concessionary passes are accepted subject to space if you just turn up to go i.e. priority is given to pre-booked seats, naturally. Not sure of situation in relation to cash customers that turn up to go.
With a concessionary pass if you wish to book a reservation, i.e. to ensure you get a seat, it will cost £5 and you can still use your pass. Not sure if the £5.00 is per single or return journey.
Arriva 'care bears' at the airport are helping wherever they can although not an Arrivabus service it is an Arriva group service (through subsidiary Tellings Golden Miller which in turn owns Excel/ Flight Delay Services (the operator of Airport by Coach).
