Is there a list of Preserved Train cabs?? the reason that I ask is that in the Aviation we have extensive lists of preserved cockpits, but I have never seen a list of preserved train cabs

Cityflyer, not sure if you ever use the train in the North West, but if you do, if you're ever on the line from Manchester Picadilly to Crewe (south of Stockport on the way to Cheadle Hulme) there is a garden full of cabs of various locos' class 25, 40, 47 and a cab from a 50 I believe. His name is Mel Thorley and has been collecting for years. Makes quite a sight when seen from a passing train on display along with various station signs etc. I've passed it a few times and always brings back memories of the older diesel classes once common round Liverpool.

There is also a vintage Hymac excavator on site. Here's a link to You tube and "Crossbridges" which is what his house is named. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYs83o5TFlQfrom the BBC2 Victoria Wood Series "Great Railway Journey" of a few years ago.
