Quick check shows all routes still available. A few routes that are also going to be served from Manchester have lower frequency. Geneva remains operating the Manchester service inbetween. Let's hope the reductions leads to new routes, bring on Toulouse.

Using Saturday 23rd June 2012 for example, it looks likely that there maybe a few changes to whats announced as they have nine based aircraft departing in the first wave but have eight aircraft night stopping that night, unless they have one aircraft finishing its program early!
Routes flown and frequency on the above date and its equivalent in 2011 in brackets:
Alicante - 2 (3) Amsterdam - 1 (2) Barcelona - 1 (2) Belfast - 4 (4) Berlin - 1 (1) Bordeaux - 1 (1) Faro - 2 (2) Fuerteventura - 1 (1) Geneva - 1 (1) Gibraltar - 1 (1) IOM - 1 (1) Jersey - 1 (1) Krakow - 1 (1) Madrid - 1 (1) Malaga - 2 (2) Mahon - 0 (1) Nice - 2 (2) Palma - 3 (3) Paris - 1 (1) Rhodes - 1 (1) total - 28 (32)

Maybe Im getting paranoid but talk of reductions and and lower frequency still rattles my cage with Mcall,we need expansion not reduction To be honest I'm quite relieved its still showing 9 aircraft given Manchesters activities in luring anyone connected with Liverpool of late. At least its staying static from the winter, even if it is down one from this summer. Hopefully if early bookings are good, it may persuade them to put the 10th aircraft back.

As you can see from the above the timings are not as tight as they can be so they maybe juggled to provide another rotation or two.

Easyjet have now loaded all schedules up until September.
I say all, but there are no Berlin routes after 24th June in the system. Have EZY and SXF fallen out?

Easyjet have now loaded all schedules up until September. I say all, but there are no Berlin routes after 24th June in the system. Have EZY and SXF fallen out? June 2012 is when the new Brandenburg international airport opens, which is of course is on adjoining land to SXF,as it currently operates, It is bit like the changover at LPL in 1986,on a bigger scale of course, when the old airfield effectifely closed, there are talks currently going on,over slots and ,costs involved for airlines etc, also Tegal is proposed to close at the same time,so major changes in the Berlin air travel market, wait and see what the outcome is,I think.

Without the outcome of the SXF negotiations being known, we are to have around 203 weekly departures with the nine based aircraft in the third full week of August, as against 236 with 10 based in the equivalent week last year.

In addition to losing one based aircraft exLPL, the BFS route is also hit by not having as many flights by BFS based aircraft. The 2011 total was 13 flights per week in the featured August period (see above) and the 2012 total of 8.
