Thanks,
Im on LPL-FAO at 1920 on 29th june and I am trying to decide whether to take Flybe IOM-LPL arr 1720 or Easyjet arr 1745. I will only have hand luggage and the allowance on Easyjet is better than Flybe so its tempting. But obviously its less time and greater change of mis-connect

If the worst happens and there's a delay causing you to miss another easyjet flight, you are more likely to get help from them in putting you on another Faro flight, albeit one the next day (although dont take this for granted - it'd be a goodwill gesture on their part to a valued and loyal customer, they obviously arent obliged to). Also, Flybe's track record would suggest there's no guarantee they'll even be operating the IOM route come June.

This is posted on pprune. Posting here since it could be a LPL based aircraft and asking if anyone knows anything?

EZY have changed the IOM Saturday flight times by putting back the 1320 departure to 1420.
I will check the rest of the Saturday schedules to see where there are any other changes.

They have also altered the Mahon and Gibraltar timings for the peak Saturdays schedules.

This is another example of those on this forum who use abbreviations to pump up their egoes - ie: "I am cleverer than you". Like you, John, I, too, am exasperated by this small minded approach. The primary objective of this forum is to convey news. Let's keep it in a format that we can all understand. Similarly, if WTF is what I think it is, then it has no place on this forum either.

Its quite arrogant to come on an aviation forum and tell people to stop talking in abbreviations. If you were really interested you would learn those abbreviations, it is not difficult.
If we were talking about 'txt spk' then I might agree, but we are talking IATA airport codes, the likes of which many passengers become accustomed to (LHR, LGW, MAN, LAX!).

I don't want to drag this thread off topic but some of us who have a passing interest in aviation, and Liverpool airport in particular, are not "rivet counters" and do not have the time to learn IATA codes or any other abbreviations that people dream up. I'm sure that WTF is not in the IATA list anyway. My point, and this is my last comment on it, is that this is a communications channel and if the use of non-standard abbreviations means that only a select few know what is going on then the whole objective of the forum is defeated. Can we now get back to easyJet Summer 2012
