I'm appealing for help in the hope that some of your members have memories going back to such exciting times !
I'm researching the flying programs of UK airports for the week August 3rd to 10th 1967. I've located the airport movement logs for LHR, LGW and MAN, so have most of the actual details for these airports, and of course any flights between them and LIV, but I badly need help with any info on the charter/I.T programmes ex EGGP for that week - carriers, routes, equipment and timings [scheduled/actuals] would all be great.
Can anyone help fill in some of the blanks, please, or point me in the right direction ?
Richard.

Richard, The ATC logs for LPL for 1967 are in the Local Record Office, William Brown Street (top floor of the main Library). The log starting 6.8.67 is in Box M37, I don't know if the preceding log might be in the same storage box, or in Box M36. You will need to get a Reader's Ticket to get into the LRO, but you can get one immediately if you go with some proof of identity/address, like a Photo Driving Licence.

Thank you so much - that's exactly what I was hoping to find out !
I'm based down south but have a colleague who has done research for me in Manchester, so I'll try to convince him that a trip to Liverpool would be good.
Thanks again
Richard.

Another similar request - does anyone know if the logs for Leeds/Bradford are in existence, and if so, their location ?
I also tried to locate the logs for Birmingham, which were once in the Birmingham Archives, but were released to an aviation society and now seem to have vanished ?
If you have any ideas, please advise.

Richard, The Birmingham logs were allegedly 'destroyed because no one wanted them' The records were offered to B'ham Airport who declined. In theory they should have been microfilmed by the RAF Museum before going to the Birmingham LRO, but I don't know if that was done. I can't remember if the Leeds/Bradford logs came from the same source. If they did they should be (a) microfilmed at RAFM, and (b) in either the Leeds or the Bradford LRO. But it seems sending things to an LRO is not a guarantee that it will be archived.... PHB

Many thanks for the reply and for the lead to the RAF Museum as a possible repository - this was not something I had previously thought of and will follow up in due course.
Thanks again
