Leaving work in Fazakerley about 2110, the Goodyear Blimp looked like it was stationary over the Walton/Anfield area and was still in the same location when I got home to the Huyton area at 2135. Sorry no camera but a nice pic posted by "williamleece". For those of you who remember them, in the dark it looks like the spaceship from the ELO album Discovery in the late '70s. Ian.

Thanks for the kind remark, Ian. I've got a new toy in the shape of a Fuji HS20 which has a quite remarkable zoom range and low-light capability. The equivalent 35mm focal length for the blimp picture would have been about 720mm, though it has been cropped slightly. No tripod, just braced against the roof of the garden shed.
