Can anyone shed any light on this?
With Yak-42s being in the news(for all the wrong reasons)my mind turned to an incident at Gatwick some years ago.
As I remember it a Yak-42 was involved in a ground-handling incident involving a baggage handler driving his tractor/baggage train under the wing and dying as a result of a collision. The aircraft was subsequently impounded so that the HSE could carry out an investigation. It remained on the stands opposite(south of)cargo for some weeks.
Which aircraft?and when was it?............anyone in pprune?
