Saw A "Flying boat" passing over Queensferry this afternoon very low, looked like it was coming in to Hawarden, Did see it last week passing over, Any ideas what it was or where it was going ?

Mike There was a something on TV last week possible "the one show" about a Catalina returning to (i think) northern Ireland to give some ex airmen a last flight in it , as they were based in WW2. might be wrong but may help you ? Brian.... Further to the above , a bit of digging has found 2 Catalinas at former RAF base in Fermanagh My Putors playing up but try www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15046531

No sign of a Catalina here today,but I could be wrong. Amongst all the usual suspects on "Charlie" was beech 250 N117EU also there was a french reg beech on November.

That was the one, Definitely dropped and headed towards Hawarden about 1.30pm, I passed end of runway 10 mins later but no sign..

Hi - just joined the group so only seen this now. If your seaplane was yellow it was HB-LSK which is a STOL Air Corp UC-1 Twin Bee c/n 018. I logged this little beauty low over Colwyn Bay heading East. It was returning from the Fermanagh Seaplane Festival some video of which is on youtube. Hope this helps.
