Spirit of Safety 2 is now tethered outside Cardington Shed 1. Thanks for the update Mike. Lets hope for better wx on Weds GC Hi GC. G-HLEL was reported overhead Stafford, heading south, this morning. Apparently routing Halfpenny Green to Cardington.

Just found this: "City Airport (Manchester Barton) Unfortunately due to technical issues the Goodyear Airship has cancelled it's visit. Hoping to reschedule for October. 6 hours ago @ 18:05 on 5th April." www.facebook.com/cityairportGoodyears official response: "Goodyear_UK Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Goodyear Blimp cannot fly to Manchester during this part of its tour. Just picked up a report on the "Balloons & Airships" list that G-HLEL is due to route to Barton today (Tues 13.09.11).
Reported as staying until the weekend.

Seen various reports that G-HLEL arrived at Barton this afternoon. Will be used as a camera ship for a football match on Sunday, one report stating that she will be at Barton until next Thurs (22.09.11). Got a meeting in Stretford tomorrow so might just be tempted to take a look.... GC

Cheers, I think I will risk it and leave it until Sunday if that's the case. I was gutted it cancelled at the start of the year so I would hate to miss it this time!

The Good Year Airship G-HLEL pitched up as the light was fading just after 1900 this evening, its apparently going to be staying until the middle of next week. Cheers Shaun
